Teammates and friends,

I can't thank you enough for the support you've shown me and my family over these last few months. While this is a situation we never imagined we'd be in, so many blessings have come from such a hard season, and you all are a huge part of that.

Being able to attend MRC Alumni Weekend this past Fall meant the world to me. I loved meeting many of you and seeing the brotherhood you share firsthand. It's no wonder my Dad had already booked his hotel over a year ago and couldn't wait to connect with everyone again. You all truly are a blast! While I may not be a college-aged guy, I was about ready to throw on black and gold and hit the pitch. Maybe one day you guys can teach me how to play, as I'd like to think I have been blessed with some natural athletic ability. I'm sure you can guess where that came from.

I'll be serving as the representative for my family and the scholarship with the University, am now a member of the JMU Student Experience Board, and I want you to know I am here for anything the team needs, now or in the future. Though I'm not quite as cool or tough as my Dad, I hope that I can bring a little bit of the Mozingo spirit to the table.

Because I know how competitive rugby men are, we've set up a little bit of a "Challenge" with the University giving office. The $25,000 that was so generously given by family, friends, and many of you through our initial GoFundMe serves as the initial investment to kick off the endowment process. If we can hit 50 contributions of any amount, my family will match another $25,000 to put us halfway to the $100,000 needed for a lifelong endowment. In speaking with a few of you, we wanted this to feel like a team effort — one more way to turn the love and support you've already shown into something that will benefit JMU Rugby for years to come.

I am always here for you guys, in whatever way I can be, just like you were for my Dad.
